Description: Constituent states via Contact Form on 10/24: Hello, I just learned that the MBTA has scheduled a closure of the red line on Election Day. This seems like an unnecessary and avoidable barrier to vote for the people of Massachusetts. I will not be affected by this personally and so I do not need a personalized response, but I wanted to raise my concerns. While most people live near their voting site, there are plenty of people that do not know their rights regarding time-off or early voting. People will go to work in another neighborhood and then have a horrendous ride home on shuttle buses. Add in daycare, caring for elders, etc. … the extra time on the shuttles is a huge barrier.
