- Constituent reported that he went by the gas station to purchase cigarettes and soda. The constituent stated that after receiving his receipt he saw that he was charged for gas and a soda instead. The constituent believes that the business is trying to avoid the tax charges. The Constituent was charged for 11.36 gallons of gas and a soda. The constituent's card was charged $34.50 but the printed receipt had a total of $41.25. Case Noted | Clerk requested via email a copy of the receipt on 4/2/25. Have not yet received, Clerk emailed contact to request copy of receipt. Inspector went to this location on 4/2/25 and observed gas and other purchase transactions. Taxes were charged where appropriate. Believe constituent may have been give incorrect receipt as he did not buy any gas.
