Noted | The sidewalk cracks in question at 23 Winship Street were present before any tree pit sidewalk cutting had taken place, as seen in this attached inspection photo taken by a City Arborist on 3/4/25. The sidewalk cracks can also be seen present in October of 2020 using Google Street View. The new tree pit has been installed to where the new tree will be planted at minimum 10' from the streetlight, which meets the City of Boston's planting specifications. If you have further questions regarding your new street tree, you can contact the Urban Forestry Division via email at trees@boston.gov, or by phone, 617-635-8733. Thank you for your interest in increasing Boston's urban forest.
