Description
Hello, I am a resident and the owner of Unit #3 at 108-110 Trenton Street in Boston. I am writing to report that Ms. Natasha Babushkina, the owner of Unit #1 in the same building, has been renting her unit as a short-term rental without a valid permit since October 2024. According to City of Boston records, Ms. Babushkina applied for a short-term rental permit on October 2, 2024, but her application was denied due to her not residing at the property or within the building. Her primary residence is: 43 Jacobs Terrace Newton Center, MA 02459 On April 10, 2024, I called the City of Boston and spoke with Ms. Regina Hanson, who confirmed the permit denial and indicated that a $300 fine would be issued, along with a directive to cease the illegal rental activity. Despite this, Ms. Babushkina continues to rent out her unit. The listing remains active on Airbnb at the following link: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1252393019875245584?adults=1&children=0&infants=0&pets=0&wishlist_item_id=11004120072817&check_in=2025-05-20&check_out=2025-05-22&source_impression_id=p3_1745371276_P3Tz0xDFHlCSJtEI&previous_page_section_name=1000 I have also personally observed Airbnb guests coming in and out of the unit. I respectfully request confirmation that the City of Boston is taking further action to stop Ms. Babushkina from continuing this illegal short-term rental operation in our residential building.
