- UPDATEChecking in on case 101006071103, opened 5/17. Thank you For the past several years, there has been a standing large puddle of water in front of 38 and 40 Saint Stephen street. Over the last several days, it has developed a putrid odor that can be smelled almost through the whole block. It gets into cars park nearby, and has become unpleasant through most of the block. It may be connected to a chronic manhole problem in front of 42 saint stephen, which frequently almost always steam coming out of it and is periodically looked at by Boston Water and sewer.
