Description
three medium-sized rats by our building’s entryway - 650 Huntington Avenue, Mission Hill opposite Longwood Medical Area (LMA) Last night, around 8-9 pm, while four of us were outside chatting near the remainder of our willow tree (and three others unloading or loading their car), we saw one, then a second, and a third IMO medium sized rat (but one person described as 'a large rat'). We saw two (2) of them coming from below the concrete ramp that leads to the garage and then they ran over to the yard (and were at a distance from one another). The third rat emerged from the shrubbery in front near the front door of the building. I was concerned that our front doors at times remain open for so long that one of these 'monsters' might enter the building during those long intervals. I notified our property manager, who called our pest management service (pest control vendor, Ecologic Entomology), and told me that I should tell you about this (report this to you because "As you may have seen in recent news, rodent activity has been increasing across the city, and unfortunately, it's a growing challenge in many neighborhoods." Despite our Mayor's recent heat wave warnings, these quadrupeds are moving quickly hither and yon.
