CLOSED #101006221947

Case Resolved. Thank you for your inquiry about Residential Parking. The City’s Transportation Department (BTD) is working hard to ensure that residents have improved access to parking in their neighborhoods and is currently reviewing our on-street rules and regulations to determine which are the most effective. We will include your inquiry as part of this ongoing review. We are also gathering information about how other communities address resident parking. In addition, after facing historic staffing storages, BTD has increased staff levels in the Parking Enforcement. We will continue to hire until we are fully staffed up, and are on track to do so by early next year. We have recorded this request and your contact information and will contact you with updates on our ongoing review. If there are other parking and curb access concerns we may help you with please contact newmobility@boston.gov. Earlier this summer, the Office of the Parking Clerk and BTD launched streamlined parking permit applications and a new self-management permit portal for increased access and visibility. You can find more information at boston.gov/parkingpermits.
