Our ultimate goal is to make the streets of Boston as safe and efficient as possible for all types of residents, including those who drive, ride, and walk to their destinations. As bicycling becomes more popular among Boston residents, public space will need to be reallocated to ensure the safety of bicyclists and those that travel alongside them.

As it stands, a significant percentage of Bostonians use bicycles to traverse the city, and that percentage is growing by the day. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make the streets of Boston open to this demographic.
