- Can someone from The Mayors Office please help us with a concerning Health and Safety concern? 125 Chiswick Rd in Brighton has close to (100 apartments). Your website Boston.Gov says that any property with more than 6 units is considered a Large Residential Property. This property has 100 units. Your website also goes on to say that any property with more than 12 units MUST Use 2-Cubic-Yard-Receptacles to contain their trash. Every Monday afternoon this property puts out 50+ bags of garbage out in the street blocking access to The Fire Hydrant overnight until pickup the next day. Putting our Lives at Risk to save a few bucks on dumpsters? With the Rodent Crisis this is just counterproductive to any serious attempts to mitigate the health and property hazards here. But blocking the Fire Hydrant is a step too far. Please have Mayor Wu look into this property and their lack of proper waste management putting our Lives at risk every week. Maybe the property owner is betting that there are no Fires on Mondays? But he is gambling with our Lives as every second matters in the event of an Emergency. Your website says “if a property has more than 12 units than trash Must be in Dumpsters, why is it that this property gets to turn this community into a Dump every week and just put out a mountain of garbage bags directly in front of the Hydrant where it is illegal to park a car? The Law says 10 feet unobstructed all around the Hydrant so the Fire Department can Hook up a Hose in an Emergency. Mayor Wu Please help us with this at 125 Chiswick Rd
