The use of light residential outdoor equipment such as leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, snow blowers, and others during daytime hours (7am to 6pm) is exempted from the City of Boston noise regulations. You may wish to talk with your neighborhood association or community group about setting neighborhood standards to restrict hours or require quieter equipment. If the disturbance is not during the daytime, you can reach out to your Boston Police Department district’s (https://police.boston.gov/districts/) non-emergency phone number or 911 to report disturbances at the time they are happening for more direct enforcement.
