Resolved. Residents may use any standard trash barrel or tote between 35 and 96 gallons, weighing no more than 50 lbs when full. Barrels with wheels and a lift bar are optional but strongly recommended for worker safety and ease of service. Please note: The City will not service any barrel or tote that is locked or strapped on your collection day. These containers may be used on your property on non-collection days, but they must be fully accessible and unlocked at the curb for pickup. Thank you for helping keep collection safe and efficient. Attached is a photo of a standardized and safe trash bin that come in 35, 65 and 96 gallon sizes.
