CLOSED #101006338890

Case Noted. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. BTD investigated and found that Fairbanks St is slated to receive speed humps in the next few years based on our criteria. We evaluated each area for its safety history, demographics (higher numbers of children, older adults, and people with a disability), if there are parks, schools, community centers nearby, plans for repaving and ramp construction, and needs otherwise identified by the residents of the neighborhood. We are glad that we are able to bring this important safety intervention to your area. Unfortunately, BTD has discontinued installing DRIVE SLOW or SLOW signs due to over time these signs have been deemed not effective to reduce speeding. Thank you for contacting 311 and BTD.
