Description: I was nearly hit by a scooter today. The rider made eye contact with me as I was already a few steps into the intersection, then blatantly ran the red light anyway. These scooters are completely out of control across the city. Over the past several months, I’ve noticed a sharp increase in riders ignoring traffic signals, and it’s only getting worse. Pedestrians of all ages are at risk of serious injury, yet there’s never a police presence when this happens.
