- Tremont Street in downtown Boston traffic is horrible, due to blocked lanes. It is parking lot for extended periods during morning and afternoon rush hour, due to the permanent construction allowed in the travel lanes at 180 Tremont Street. This portion of Tremont Street is down to 1 lane of traffic, where there is heavy traffic and Silver Line bus stop. It takes 30 minutes to drive 1 block. Traffic backs up to Government Center and all throughout the neighborhood. Something needs to be done to help alleviate this congestion.
