Description: I am reporting a safety and parking access issue at the newly built Betty Greene Apartments at 48 Amory St in Roxbury. The building has only 14 parking spaces, and most are restricted (handicap or EV), leaving almost no usable parking for residents. Because of this, residents often have to park several blocks away from the building, which is unsafe, especially at night and with the winter months approaching. I have a small child, and it is becoming extremely difficult and unsafe to walk long distances to and from the building in these conditions. I understand the building is considered transit-accessible, but that does not change the reality that many residents rely on their vehicles for work, childcare, and daily responsibilities. The limited parking is causing double-parking, blocked exits, and dangerous driving conditions in the lot. I am requesting a city inspection and review of the parking design and safety concerns at this property.
