- Description
- Caller states since the Canterbury bridge closure the amount of cars and speed is increasing down ROWE STREET. It’s been closed for months and will remain the detour route for years. Caller states there is a need for there to be a speedometer added to the street to deter cars from speeding down ROWE street. Caller states there was a speed sign that tracked cars speed about 2 weeks ago and it was installed for construction but then taken away. there is a need for speed humps or the speedometer sign. Caller is requesting the city do SOMETHING about the speeding cars before someone gets hurt. |

Case Noted. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Seymour St and Rowe St are both street that are slated to receive speed humps in the next few years based on our criteria. We evaluated each area for its safety history, demographics (higher numbers of children, older adults, and people with a disability), if there are parks, schools, community centers nearby, plans for repaving and ramp construction, and needs otherwise identified by the residents of the neighborhood. We are glad that we are able to bring this important safety intervention to your area. Thank you for contacting 311 and BTD.
