- School heating is a schoolwide issue. Many BPS schools (including but not limited to the O'Bryant and the Hernandez) are freezing, blisteringly hot, or both, and school staff have no control of the internal temperature in their buildings. This is an impediment to learning and a waste of resources (classroom windows are being kept open to normalize the interior temperature!). How can this situation be improved throughout the city before this winter advances even further? As a Hernandez parent, I applaud recent improvements in A/C for hot weather and in modern windows for insulation, but we hope this momentum can be carried along to permit classroom conditions more conducive to learning in the cold months. | Case (SR) Type: [School Maintenance] Referred To: [SCHOOLS: FACILITIES MGT.]
