Description: This short term rental unit on Airbnb needs to be investigated. Registration Details: STR-461939. Link: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/828194448965037333 Freezing Unit and Dishonest Management. I checked out early because the unit was absolutely freezing. The building is very old and the insulation on the windows is non-existent; I had the heat on max, but could literally feel cold air seeping in all night. I woke up sick with a sore throat and congestion. When I reached out to the host ("Healing Homes") for a refund, they were incredibly difficult to work with. Instead of owning the issue and having empathy for what I went through, they tried to gaslight me. They sent a photo of an infrared thermometer reading 112°F as "proof" the room was hot. However they were pointing the thermometer directly at the baseboard heater, and not actually measuring the air temperature.
