Description: There has been a lot more open drug activity on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Washington Street in the past few days. I live at 685 Mass Ave and I’ve seen people partaking and what I think is drug abuse on different doorsteps, between my apartment and the traffic light on the Washington mass Avenue corners. I’m also not positive, but there does seem to be something going on, I’m not sure if people are buying drugs here, but there is always people waiting outside of the residences of 1740 Washington Street, and/or two doors down (I haven’t been able to find a building number for it, and I feel unsafe trying to poke around and find it when I walk by). There has also been an increase of needles and needle caps in these areas along the sidewalks, on doorstep, etc. I’ve also noticed there are more people just “hanging out “outside my unit and others on mass have, likely because of traffic coming and going on the bus.. would it be possible to have a more consistent police presence in this area? I’ve noticed it’s gotten increasingly worse over the past week/week and a half, and I wonder if more presence would help deter the activity.
