- The stop sign on Lake St in Brighton where it intersects with Glenmont Rd needs attention. The sign needs a matching one on the left side, blinking lights or something because nobody stops at it. 5 cars will all come speeding through one after the other and don't notice it or don't care. When they initially put it up there would be a cop car sometimes parked near it and were pulling people over but only about a month later it's like the sign was never put up.

Case Noted. Please reference case #101006445697 Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. This is a "T" intersection and typically the continuing street has the right of way. This stop sign on Lake St was previously installed without authorization and was later found to be ineffective and goes against the Manual of Traffic Control Device (MUTCD). Therefore BTD has reevaluate the effectiveness of the stop sign on Lake St at this location and it was found to be ineffective which is why it was removed. Thank you for contacting 311 and BTD.
