Description
I was walking home with friends along the corridor in Back Bay and yet again, a Doordash driver on a moped cut across the corridor no more than 2 feet in front of us at 10 PM at the end of Harcourt St. He then continued driving on the sidewalk on Harcourt St despite the road being completely empty next to him. This is dangerous behavior that happens every single day in this neighborhood, and there's been no police presence to address it despite the city acknowledging the problem through the city council resolution (to no actual effect of reducing violations). I understand that the city doesn't want to deport people as an unintended consequence of traffic violations, but you can't abdicate the responsibility for public safety either. I shouldn't have to fear a vehicle coming at me at 30 miles an hour on the sidewalk throughout Back Bay. Please increase the police presence and begin ticketing violators ASAP | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Traffic/Parking] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA D-4]
