Description: I live at the 7INK apartment complex in Boston. My bedroom window faces the dumpsters located next to the adjacent Whole Foods. On Tuesdays and Fridays, garbage trucks empty these dumpsters, sometimes as early as approximately 6:30 AM. The noise from the trucks (including lifting and dropping dumpsters, engine noise, and backup alarms) is extremely loud and routinely wakes residents well before 7:00 AM. This has been an ongoing issue. I am requesting that the City review whether this collection activity complies with Boston’s noise regulations and whether mitigation is possible, such as adjusted pickup timing or quieter collection procedures. Thank you.
