Description: There is street construction going on at Sherrin St. in Hyde Park by the utility company replacing the gas lines. These fools have blocked in multiple peoples' cars in their own driveways on multiple days, which is unacceptable. Yesterday they blocked in my neighbor's car with 2 big piles of dirt about 4 feet tall, which could have easily been placed somewhere else or further back so as not to block her car. On another day, they refused to let "The Ride" go down the street to pick up an elderly neighbor that had to go to her regular dialysis appointment. She missed her appointment and the police got involved. This is completely unacceptable. They have also had misleading signage on both sides of the street, one saying that the street is closed and another saying the street is only open to abutters, but when you go down the side where it says abutters only, it is blocked off by a huge ditch that they have dug in the ground. If this company is making a shitload of money off of taxpayer dollars, then they should have competent project managers to adequately organize this chaos so as not piss off the residents.
