- I am a tenant at 365 Western Ave, Apt 302, Brighton, MA 02135, and I am filing this formal complaint against my landlord (managed by CSRE) for ongoing negligence. They have failed repeatedly to address leaking pipes, alarms, and now in snow and ice removal, in violation of Massachusetts State Sanitary Code (105 CMR 410.452), which requires owners to maintain all means of egress in a safe, operable condition and free from obstructions, as well as Boston regulations holding landlords responsible for clearing snow and ice from common areas, walkways, and access points (typically within 24 hours after a storm ends). As of approximately 7:40 AM today, the garage door remains completely blocked by uncleared snow accumulation, preventing me and other tenants from accessing our vehicles, despite public roads having been clear for hours. This obstruction severely impacts several residents, including myself and others who work at local hospitals and must report to essential healthcare shifts on time—any further delay creates unsafe conditions, risks our employment, and hinders our ability to provide critical medical services.
