- I am a homeowners with a disability in the Fenway. I parked my car after the snow emergency began at the MasParc Northeastern Garage at 10 Gainsborough Street, which was listed on boston.gov as emergency snow parking including the rates. When I parked, I confirmed in person that I would recieve the snow rate for overnight. When the parking ban was lifted at 8pm, I called the garage to tell them that I did not feel safe moving my car because the streets were not clear and the HP spots on Symphony were filled with snow. The man told me that I could keep the car there overnight and just pay the overnight fee. When I went to pick up the car, he charged me $88, the full rate for the entire snow emergency. When I tried to engage him in conversation he threatened to call the police on me and was derogatory and rude. Three of my neighbors had the same experience. This is clearly a scam, they should not be allowed to advertise as a city parking shelter during snow emergencies, to shake people down for more money. I will be writing to Mayor Wu, Northeastern about this unfortunate scam associated with these administrations. How can I get a refund of my money? To illustrate, $80 is more than my grocery budget for a week. Thank you, Mary ElizaBeth Peters 29 Symphony Road.
