- I’m writing with some urgency regarding snow removal on Charlestown’s narrower streets, especially given the significant accumulation we’re already facing and the possibility of another storm this weekend. With nearly two feet of snow on the ground, many residents have no remaining space to place additional snow. On streets like Prescott Street, where parking is permitted on only one side, conditions are becoming increasingly difficult and potentially unsafe for residents, pedestrians, and emergency access. I’m hoping the City might consider removing accumulated snow on at least one side of these narrow streets in advance of the next storm. Doing so would greatly help relieve current conditions and better prepare the neighborhood for what may be coming. Could you please let me know if there are any plans in place, or being considered, to address this issue? Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated by many of us here.
