- Constituent submitted the following via email: The Boston Transportation Department had good momentum policing (and ticketing) the violators in East Boston Memorial Park, who park their cars, for the day (or night) in East Boston Memorial Park, and turn the parking lot, in the park, into a “T Commuter (Blue Line)” and “Airport Employee” free parking lot. MANY parking spaces in the park are consumed, not by users of the park, but by abusers of the 2 hour, signed, parking limit. About a month before the blizzard, the Transportation Department was keeping up with enforcement, during the week, but, sadly, not on weekends. On weekends, the same cars park in the park for 8+ hours a day (generally, about 20 cars). Beginning, about 2 or 3 PM, weekday afternoons, the same thing happens. Please direct Boston DOT to get back on this again, including weekday afternoons, and weekends. See the attached pictures from yesterday morning, in East Boston Memorial Park (the name of the STREET/parking area in East Boston Memorial Park is Thompson Drive). Thank you. | How is the car parked illegally: [Other]
