Description
The elevator in my apartment building has been out of service for four days. I live on the top floor of a large, professionally managed building, and the outage makes it difficult to carry groceries and other necessities up multiple flights of stairs. Management’s only response has been: “the elevator is out of service and the company has been called.” No repair timeline, notice, or accommodations have been provided, raising habitability and accessibility concerns given the rent charged. Management has also failed to properly plow the private road during snowstorms and only allows disposal of food waste and cardboard on-site. Tenants are required to independently pay for removal of all other normal household trash. I am requesting inspection and enforcement regarding elevator service, accessibility, snow removal, and refuse disposal under applicable housing codes.
