- Recently, there was a stop sign put up on Lake Street at the intersection of Glenmont Road and Lake Street in Brighton. It was wonderful to see a stop sign there as there was no traffic light or stop sign on Lake Street from Commonwealth Ave. to Washington Street. It created a safe place to cross Lake Street. The stop sign is no longer there. This is near a BPS school, BC campus, a park, and a pond. It is a street that cars tend to go down very fast because drivers know there’s no stop in between Commonwealth Avenue and Washington Street. It is dangerous and we need the stop sign out back up on Lake Street at the intersection of Glenmont Road. Picture of area attached. You can see how close the BPS school is and the BC campus. There should also be a sign before that intersection warning that a stop sign is ahead.
