Description: Constituent is calling in regards to Bais Yaakov School of Boston (Private School) Caller's daughter in 11th grade, last year vaccination records and personal exemption filed with school. This year, school nurse wanted more documentation, refusing religious medical exemption. Daughter is 1 vaccine short of what is wanted by the school. This year, religious exemption and updated vaccinations are not acknowledged. School is stating that caller's daughter cannot attend school until she receives the one vaccination. Constituent requesting that someone reach out to the school first regarding this in reference to MA Law Chapter 76 Section 15, "In the absence of an emergency or epidemic of disease declared by the dept of public health no child who's parent or guardian states in writing that vaccination or immunization conflicts with sincere religious beliefs shall be required to present said physicians certificate to be admitted to school."
