Noise Disturbance Complaint – Dogs and Late-Night Impact Noise from Unit Above I am a tenant in Unit 205 at 46 Soldiers Field Place, Brighton, MA. The tenants in Unit 304 above my apartment have two dogs that are repeatedly left in a crate when they leave their apartment. When the dogs are placed in the crate, they bark continuously and move around aggressively inside the cage. The crate rattles and the vibration travels directly through the ceiling into my apartment. This disturbance has been occurring regularly since January 2026. The disturbance includes: Continuous dog barking Crate rattling and shaking Impact noise and vibration traveling into my ceiling and walls Loud objects or balls repeatedly hitting the floor Tonight there has also been loud stomping and heavy impact walking from the unit above after 10:00 PM, which is during the building’s quiet hours. The noise has continued into late evening hours approaching 11:00 PM. Because this stomping and impact noise began after I reported the ongoing dog noise to building management, I believe the behavior may be retaliatory and intended to disturb me after I complained. This situation has been reported to building management multiple times, and I have also provided video recordings documenting the noise disturbance. The ongoing barking, crate vibration, and late-night impact noise are significantly affecting my ability to live peacefully in my apartment.
