Description: I am reporting a vehicle I observed operating on a public roadway in Boston at 12:00 PM today, March 20, 2026. The vehicle was a silver Toyota Avalon displaying one of the old Green/White Massachusetts license plates that appeared heavily worn and possibly altered or obscured, making it difficult to read. The plate also displayed an expiration sticker indicating 2020. I later checked the plate through the Massachusetts RMV and found that the registration appears to be expired (since 2020) and the vehicle shows no active insurance. I observed the vehicle merging from 93 S Leverett Connector exit onto Storrow Drive and it was actively being driven in traffic. I have attached a photo of the vehicle taken at the time. I am submitting this for awareness and appropriate follow-up, as the condition of the plate and lack of registration/insurance may present a public safety concern. I prefer to remain anonymous.
