- Description
- Att Public Engagement Back Bay Station, on a nightly basis, between 9:00–10:00 PM, an individual occupies the ADA stall and engages in bathing activities for extended periods (often over an hour) and water is frequently splashed onto the restroom floor, and personal belongings, including a suitcase, obstruct access to the area. Following this, from 10:00–11:00 PM, the same individual stands near commuter rail ticket counter and wraps her body with plastic materials. This has been occurring for approximately one year and presents several concerns: ADA-designated stall is consistently unavailable for its intended use Water on the floor creates a slip hazard Sanitation and hygiene conditions are compromised Access is obstructed for individuals who require ADA accommodations Activity in common areas raises additional public health and safety concerns Given the duration and impact of this issue, intervention from MBTA management is requested, including coordination with public health services and ADA compliance personnel, to address the situation. | Case (SR) Type: [MBTA] Referred To: [MBTA]
