- Mayor Wu: There needs to be a change in policy as to who is allowed to live at 140 Clarendon St subsidized . The current residents have been congregating for open-air drug sales and use, which has continued to cause unsafe conditions for commuters at the Back Bay Station, local businesses and for those living in this residential neighborhood. The police and EMS are called sometimes 3 times per day to this facility for drugs and other serious crimes ( highest police call volume in Boston) . For those living at 140 Clarendon and who are receiving welfare benefits, there needs to be a drug screening policy and those who are suspected of active and illicit drug use need to be transferred to a medically licensed rehab facility. Since the opening of 140 Clarendon the crime and drug activity in this neighborhood has drastically risen | Case (SR) Type: [Miscellaneous] Referred To: [ADDICTION AND RECOVERY SERVICES]
