- Charlestown tunnel from Route 1. There are multiple conflicting speed limit signs within a very short distance (appears to be at least three different limits within a few car lengths). None clearly indicate 35 mph prior to entering the tunnel. Based on my experience, this creates confusion and makes it difficult for drivers to determine the correct speed. My vehicle indicated a 45 mph limit in this lane, which adds to the inconsistency. This signage should be reviewed for clarity and consistency to ensure driver understanding and safety. I received a citation at this location and was unable to pursue a hearing due to work constraints, but I felt it was important to report this so others do not encounter the same issue. The 25mph sign in the tunnel is unreadable.
