- I work in the city near Ruggles Station and have to walk on a side walk that is also a bike lane (a shared space the standard width of a sidewalk for a short stretch). So, as bikers come from the Southwest Corridor up to Columbus Ave, they are biking on the sidewalk with the pedestrians. It is always a bit dicey in this space with regular bikers who are mostly courteous, but today I also passed closely by several motorized cyclists who were moving at a fairly high rate of speed. It felt dangerous. I am curious what the speed limit is on a bike lane that is shared with a sidewalk/pedestrians? And if it is posted? It honestly felt as if I was walking in the middle of the motorized traffic. Thank you for your attention.
