Description: I am requesting a housing inspection due to ongoing unsafe and uninhabitable conditions related to extensive construction in my building over approximately the past year. The construction has resulted in persistent dust infiltration into my unit, with no effective containment measures. This has negatively impacted air quality and led to respiratory symptoms requiring medical evaluation, with my physician indicating the symptoms are consistent with dust exposure. There has also been continuous and excessive construction noise beginning early in the morning (around 7:00 AM) and continuing throughout the day. Additionally, there have been multiple unannounced water shut-offs lasting several hours, which have impacted essential daily activities such as showering, cooking, and sanitation. There are also safety concerns in common areas, including exposed wiring and open ceilings in hallways without proper barriers, warning signage, or restricted access. Residents are required to walk directly underneath these areas. These conditions have been ongoing for an extended period and go beyond normal or temporary construction-related inconvenience.
