- My apartment was damaged by leaking water last Friday. A pipe broke on the third floor, and water ran all the way down, leaking through my ceiling, drywall, and bathroom light. Currently, we have to stay in a hotel; the insurance company provided one week of temporary housing. Upon communicating with the landlord's maintenance team, I feel that they only want to repaint the wall. ( told me I only need to remove the mattress) I'm worried about electricity safety, mold, and the water-soaked drywall. And I doubt this is the first time they're doing so. Since I moved into this apartment in Aug 2024, I developed depression, asthma, and constant skin allergies. I even complained about bedbugs, because our symptoms were so similar to insect bites. Could you please send an inspector to check the mold infection? Thank you so much.
