- I live in 1139 Commonwealth Avenue. This has happened a couple times in the past, but I’ve ignored it; this morning the garbage collectors (who pass by around 6-6:45am, ish) have once again been playing incredibly loud music. I understand that it must be difficult to do a repetitive job so early in the morning, but I also understand that we deserve to sleep. It was awful with the windows closed, but now that it’s getting warmer many of us sleep with the windows open and it’s rough to hear loud reggaeton (or anything else), especially since it isn’t just passing by; they obviously stay for a while to the point where we’re all already awake. Many of us work full time and are students at the same time, and we need to get as much rest as possible. I didn’t get a video but I will if it happens again, which it hopefully won’t. I’m not sure if there’s some rules or anything around it for garbage collectors, or if they’re aware of how loud it is for people in homes/apartments.
