- Location: Boston, Green line T station on cambridge st across from Massachusetts General Hospital. Recommendation: to build an enclosed foot bridge from the the green line T station on cambridge st in boston across from Massachusetts General Hospital that leads directly inside the hospital. Or any other option that you may think of to improve pedestrian safety and minimize wait time in crossing that street especially to get to the hospital. (Perhaps, the hospital employees can provide additional feedback, input on the situation). I noticed the issue from a truck delivery Driver perspective, driving daily through that area. It will improve pedestrians, employees safety, will serve well in all weather, rain, snow, or heat and will be time saver in street crossing cambridge st into MGH. It is a heavy traffic area, vehicles can't always stop for pedestrian crossing due to traffic light positioning, location, it is at the other end of the station. Pedestrians tend to cross on the right side of the station, way before the traffic light. It is a heavy vehicle traffic area by the circle. Pedestrians wait a long time to cross that street to the MGH side. Some of your expert observation will provide additional clarification of the issue as well as MGH employees' input.
