Description
Morton Street and Canterbury Street MBTA bus stop (near VFW), is frequented by many students of “Brooke High School”. Unfortunately, the bus stop is littered with trash, rubbish, empty beer bottles, discarded hypodermic needles, and other forms of refuse. It is a late Spring in the Boston/New England area, and it would probably more pleasant and conducive to human growth, for the aspiring young students to be surrounded by blooming/blossoming flowers, as opposed to mounds of garbage along the side of a semi-highway. Lastly, ISO feel as though there might be a serious need for “Cement Jersey Barriers” along Morton Street (@ the Canterbury Street MBTA bus stop just stop; in both directions of the #31 MBTABus and the # 21 MBTA Bus). Speeding is common along Morton Street and Jamaica Way. I once witnessed a jeep veer off of the roadway and slam onto the sidewalk ( Arely missing a power box and telephone pole). If any high schoolers were there at the time, they would have either been seriously injured or worse. As a concerned citizen, I think that it is within the capacities of Boston Parks and Recreation department to immediately or expeditiously rectify these issues till then, take care, God bless, and Shabbat Shalom/Ahs Salaama Lecheim.”
