- AGAIN, AGAIN, the parking IN the East Boston Memorial Park (Porter and Orleans Street, on Thompson Drive) is out of control, with perennial parking rule evaders. Why bother have “2 Hour Parking” signs, if BTD is not going to enforce them? Take a look at today's 20+ cars, parked in the park parking area for 5+ hours. These cars are cars of airport employees and Blue Line Riders, NOT visitors to the park. What is required to effect action by BTD, since city government is not paying attention? How about turning the park over to Massport, so that the park can be competently run by Massport operations and police personnel. Have you compared the difference between the operations and safety (law enforcement presence) in the Bremen Street Park, 1 block away from the East Boston Memorial Park, and the abysmal job that the City of Boston does in/at the East Boston Memorial Park?
