- Five story high scaffolding has been erected at the next door condominium complex from 55 Chandler Street to the corner of Berkeley Street adjacent to my property at 57 Chandler Street. The weight of the scaffolding has caused extensive cracks in my front steps, including the risers, the steps themselves and the sides of the steps as well as the foundation in front. I am requesting that a city inspector come to review the damage as I believe that the Diaz Masonry Company which has erected the scaffolding and is completing brick work and re-pointing next-door should be liable for the damage caused to my property. In addition, I am concerned that the continued presence of the scaffolding will cause further damage to the sidewalk and the underlying ground and adjacent structures as there are plans for the scaffolding to be up for quite some time. I am afraid that this is a dangerous situation.
