Description
really unsafe and confusing pedestrian options. Since the construction of an apartment building began, we have lost main sidewalks. The intersections between West Roxbury Parkway, Belgrade, and Beech street, are already a cluster, and there are limited places for pedestrians to cross, especially with less sidewalks. New work has begun ontop of the building construction that makes it a joke. Might I add that this is right down the street from a commuter rail stop, where many middle school and high school aged children are walking to and from. One sidewalk said closed and told me to cross to another sidewalk which is closed halfway down and makes you cross back. People fly through this temporary crosswalk. Another ‘cross here sign’ I’ve attached is just pointing to a dentists office. Walking around the cones means walking into traffic, where again, the street is already narrow because of the building construction, and people fly through because everyone flies through these streets. The other ‘side walk closed, cross here’ sign is pointing pedestrians into the middle of where Beech and Belgrade street merge, and where because of the construction vehicles parked there, the corners are blind.
