- I have an emergency habitability issue. My AC unit is leaking 4–5 gallons a day with standing water from a locked maintenance closet and there is severe water damage on the top floor ceiling (I have had my AC turned off for 24 hours), I have a light switch taped off as a fire hazard, and the common area smoke detector has a fault light. The landlord has known for 10 months and is now refusing to provide a repair timeline and stating I'm using "threatening" language for citing sanitary codes and asking for a repair timeline. I need an inspection of the sanitary issues to determine if there is mold and document code violations.
