Description: Recurring amplified sound in Central Square Park (near residential buildings). This issue occurs consistently on Tuesday evenings approximately 7:00–8:00 PM. A group uses a microphone and/or megaphone for prolonged amplified speech/shouting. The sound is clearly audible inside nearby residential units with windows closed and significantly disrupts normal use of indoor living space. This has been an ongoing weekly pattern for several months. We have previously reported this issue to 911 on multiple occasions (including tonight, 6/2 around 7:10 PM, as well as prior incidents such as 5/12 when both I and a neighbor called). We have also attempted to address the issue directly with the group in a calm and respectful manner, but they declined to reduce volume. The issue persists despite prior police dispatch attempts and prior 311 guidance to contact Boston Police.
