- Description
- WATER INTRUSION; I first reported a leak in the bathroom ceiling in August 2021. Despite multiple maintenance requests over the years, the issue has not been permanently resolved. In October 2023, a mushroom grew directly from the bathroom ceiling, indicating prolonged moisture within the building materials. The response at that time was limited to scraping and repainting the affected area. The damage has continued and is now affecting multiple areas of the apartment, including my roommate’s closet wall. On June 3, 2026, a maintenance worker visited the unit to address the reported leak. During the visit, a larger opening was cut into the ceiling/wall in the affected area. The opening was left uncovered when the worker departed, and a piece of my personal furniture was turned upside down and left beneath the opening to catch potential water drips. Construction debris from the ceiling was left in the bathroom, and dust and footprints were left on the sink and nearby personal property. At the time the worker left, the area had not been restored or cleaned, and the underlying moisture issue had not been explained or resolved. I am including this information because it reflects the current condition of the unit and the status of the repair efforts.
