I am writing to formally complain about the ongoing excavation and construction work taking place on Peterborough Street in Fenway and the significant disruption it has caused to residents. A major concern is the condition in which the work site is left at the end of each day. Rather than properly restoring or patching the trench, crews leave metal plates covering the excavation area. These plates appear to be installed haphazardly and are not adequately secured. As vehicles drive over them throughout the night and on weekends, they generate repeated loud banging and rattling noises that are extremely disruptive to nearby residents. The noise continues well beyond construction hours and significantly impacts the quality of life of those living on the street.
