- Mattresses that no one owns are being left by the city to rot on street corners. Whoever dumped them must have left the city and no matter how residents report this, NO ONE WILL PICK THEM UP! Should we drag them to the city hall steps to get the City's attention to this finally? Months now there's been the mattress sitting behind 424 Mass Ave in the alley despite numerous neighbors calling 311, and now weeks for the latest mattress sitting at the corner of Wellington and Columbus. City says only the "owner" can schedule pickup. So what is the recourse when said owners have skipped town? Is the city seriously just going to give tickets to the wrong people while not even letting them schedule removal?
