Description: To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to report a serious public safety concern outside the Homestead restaurant located at 1448 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02122. Today, I witnessed a 90-year-old woman fall on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. During the fall, she struck the back of her head on the edge of a flower pot that was positioned near the pedestrian walkway. The impact caused a large bump on the back of her head, and emergency medical assistance was required. She was subsequently transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. This incident raises concerns about the placement of the flower pot and whether it may pose a hazard to pedestrians, particularly older adults and individuals with mobility limitations. I respectfully request that the City inspect the area and determine whether the flower pot or other potential obstacles should be relocated or modified to improve pedestrian safety and help prevent similar incidents in the future.
